She's Got The Whole World...

On the east wall of the library. The map is up and Olivia has already begun her self-directed geography lessons, starting with an in-depth study of the Standard Time Zone Chart of the World and the southern-most tip of South America, which is about all she can see from her vantage point. She has, however, discovered that if she stands on one of her chairs--a new skill--she can see more of the map up close. Climbing on top of the table seems to help as well.

Up until the introduction of the table and chairs in the library, Olivia's main objective was to clear as many shelves as quickly as possible. Now, instead of throwing all the books on the floor, she puts some on the table and sits down to look at them before throwing them on the floor. She reads them forwards, backwards, and upside down. She's got over 1,000 books to choose from and generally selects age-appropriate books and also enjoys reference materials. Perhaps it's an early start to satisfying her curiosity. She definitely knows what books are for, and only occaisonally gets side-tracked and chews on one.
