Pajama Houdini

I bought Olivia new pajamas yesterday. I thought long sleeves were warranted with our recent drop in temperature. Yes, we are now in the low- to mid-seventies during the day, so you know it's freezing here at night. Okay, it's not freezing, but it is a bit chilly to our Phoenix-acclimated bodies.

Olivia wore her cute new pajamas last night. When I went into her room to get her up this morning, she was standing in her crib, stripped down to her diaper. Her pajama shirt and pants were on the floor, inside out. I can see how she was able to get the pants off--they're a little loose, but I didn't know she had the dexterity to remove her shirt. I redressed her in her pjs and we went about our usual morning activities.

Since we weren't going anywhere this morning, Olivia stayed in her pjs until after her morning nap. Well, that may not be entirely accurate. When I went to get her up, there she was in just her diaper again. The pjs were on the floor--this time right side out. Her undressing skills are rapidly improving! Also on the floor were her blanket, Lamb E. Lulu, and her binkie.

Just as I began this blog entry, Olivia had taken her shirt off--twice--while she was supposed to be napping. I hope this new phenomenon is restricted to naptime boredom and will not occur in public.

She is growing up so fast and her skills are incredible! Just be thankful the diaper is not coming off too!

At about Olivia's age, my nephew undressed himself in church. He was just getting ready to take off his diaper when my sister discovered him. Good luck with it staying at naptime.
